Obey the law

The recent report revealing that running the red light has caused four deaths and 55 injuries this year is so sad and painful (‘Running red lights causes four deaths and 55 injuries this year,’ warn Dubai Police, June 22, Gulf Today website).

It is the sole responsibility of drivers to obey the rules of the Roads and Transport Authority, which guarantee the smooth flow of traffic on the roads. Violating the Roads and Transport Authority’s rules while driving results in painfully unfortunate incidents.

According to the report, Brigadier Juma Salem Bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, has warned of the dangers of jumping the red light, this being one of the most dangerous traffic violations that threaten the lives of drivers, their passengers and road users, especially at intersections, and often lead to serious injuries and deaths.

Driving on the roads is an art that requires patience. To avoid any ill-fated incidents while driving on roads and highways, we only need to follow the Roads and Transport Authority’s rules. Patience is an important element of driving a vehicle, as it makes the journey peaceful.
