
A permit to practice private tutoring can be obtained after fulfilling the approved conditions and requirements, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) through the “Private Tutoring Work Permit” service provided by MoHRE, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education (MoE).
MoHRE clarified that the steps for issuing a private tutoring work permit begin with submitting the application through the digital channels of the Ministry, followed by completing the required data and documents, fulfilling the conditions and requirements, coordinating with the MoE, and finally issuing the permit.
According to the Ministry, 4 categories are allowed to apply for this permit including students (university students/school students), private sector employees, government and semi-government employees, and private tutors.
The required documents from student applicants include a certificate of continuous study for high school students, the latest academic certificate, and for university students, a certificate proving enrollment in the university, according to MoHRE.
The documents must also include a no-objection certificate from the employer, a good conduct certificate, a medically fit certificate, valid identification documents (passport /residency /ID), approval of the private tutoring charter, and a clear personal photo with a white background.
As for private sector employees, they must provide a certificate of their latest academic degree, a good conduct certificate, valid identification documents (passport/residency/ID), a medically fit certificate, an experience certificate if available, approval of the private tutoring charter, and a clear personal photo with a white background.
For employees in various sectors (government and semi-government entities), the required documents include a certificate of the latest academic degree, a good conduct certificate, a no-objection certificate from the employer, a medically fit certificate, an experience certificate if available, valid identification documents (passport / residency / ID), approval of the private tutoring charter, and a clear personal photo with a white background.
For tutors registered in a government or private school, documents needed include a good conduct certificate, a no-objection certificate from the employer, a medically fit certificate, an experience certificate if available, approval of the private tutoring charter, and a clear personal photo with a white background are required.
According to the Ministry, the school student’s age must not be less than 15 and not exceed 18, and they must have a valid residency within the UAE.
Holders of a partial permit are exempt from employer approval, the Ministry affirmed.
The steps to apply for the service begin with logging in using the digital ID, where the applicant is electronically referred to the Ministry’s website to verify the fulfillment of conditions and documents. If the conditions are met, the permit is approved for issuance, with a duration of two years.
