Compliments to Virat Kohli for his unbeaten 75, which steered his RCB team to winning the IPL-26 Trophy. Virat was in full control of his measured innings.
He played a mature game and could drive a sixer, with the mere flick of his wrists. This requires practice and dedication. Sixers do not come on auto-pilot.
I was sad to read about Virat’s experience when he was suddenly removed as the captain of the Indian team some years ago.
No person bothered to commiserate with him. Only his former captain and mentor, MS Dhoni, wrote him a message. Such is our competitive world.
Virat has immense potential to contribute to India’s cricket in all formats.
He should not be ignored by the selectors. Above all, he is a sizzling inspiration to the youth of India. A player who believes in himself.
