Colonel Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding Academy, crowned the champions and stars of the AB Fitness Strength Challenge Bench Press, organized by the academy in Dubai.
The competition featured 36 male and female participants from both citizens and residents of the UAE, in a highly competitive atmosphere and with strong technical levels that reflected the continuous development of strength sports.
At the conclusion of the competition, champion Hussein Rahimi was crowned champion after topping the winners’ list by lifting 220 kilograms of weight.
The top-ranking participants in various weight categories were awarded medals and trophies in the presence of a distinguished group of officials, including Wafaa Khoya, Director of AB Fitness Gym; Dr. Walid Abdulkarim, General Director of the Academy; Salem Al Suraidi, member of the UAE Weightlifting Federation; Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Academy’s Abu Dhabi branch; and Dr. Wissam Abdulkarim, Director of Legal Affairs at the Academy.
The ceremony also honored the competition judges who contributed to the success of the event: Mohammed Abdulkarim, Khalifa Ahmed, Jassim Al Matrooshi, Youssef Al Hammadi, Ahmed Al Balushi, Mohammed Rahmat Allah, Abdulaziz Al Ali, and Nadia Beryzina.
The organizing committee also made sure to honor the competition’s sponsors—Medpex Pharmacies Group, Dr. Nutrition, Felix Zone, and Red Bull Energy Drink—in recognition of their continuous support for sports and community activities.
On his part, Dr. Walid Abdulkarim, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, praised the strong technical level of the championship and the scale of participation, which included academy students and regulars of AB Fitness Gym. He emphasized the academy’s commitment to providing a competitive and motivating environment that contributes to developing athletes’ abilities and refining their technical and physical skills.
In his closing remarks, he thanked the management of AB Fitness for providing all the necessary resources to ensure the success of the event and presenting it in an outstanding organizational manner, reflecting the growing status of strength sports in the country.
