The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects a light rise in temperatures on Wednesday. Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly dust stirring winds, active at times will blow especially over the sea, while sand winds will blow over land on Sunday.
This, according to the NCM, is due to the country being affected by an extension of a weak surface low-pressure system from the east and a surface high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by an extension of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
The NCM also expects Sunday’s weather to be clear in general, with northwesterly to southwesterly winds, light to moderate in speed and active at times, especially over the sea, stirring dust over land, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h and the sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
Monday’s weather, according to the NCM, will be clear in general, humid at night and on Tuesday morning over some coastal areas with a chance of light fog formation to the north.
Winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly, light to moderate in speed and active at times, stirring dust to the west, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h, the NCM reported adding that the sea will be rough in the west during the day, becoming moderate to light in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday’s weather is expected by the NCM to be clear in general, humid at night and on Wednesday morning over some coastal areas with a chance of fog or light fog formation. Winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly, light to moderate in speed and active at times, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 35 km/h and the sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, the NCM stated.
Wednesday’s weather is expected to be clear in general, with a slight rise in temperatures and winds will be northwesterly, turning to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20, amounting to 30 km/h and the sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
In this regard, Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to exercise caution due to reduced horizontal visibility during dust and sand formation, emphasising the importance of not being distracted by phones to ensure their safety and the safety of road users.
