admin His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the excavation work for the Dubai Metro Blue Line tunnels.
His Highness said in a post on “X” during the event: “30 km, half of which is underground, 14 iconic stations serving one million people and reducing congestion by 20% in Dubai.”
Sheikh Mohammed added that 10,000 employees and engineers are racing against time with a budget of Dhs20 billion to launch this line by 9-9-2029, in addition to another Dhs34 billion for the Golden Line, to complete the newest and most beautiful metro in the world.

“Our major projects to reshape the new Dubai are ongoing: our new international airport, future transportation lines, the international financial centre with a new look, digital infrastructure and government services with self-driving AI technologies, and many more projects that we will launch in the coming months,” Sheikh Mohammed said, adding: “We are the most future-ready city in the world. Whoever bets on Dubai, bets on the future.”
