
Abu Dhabi Labour Court achieved tangible accomplishments in protecting the rights of the workforce during 2025 with the judicial system succeeding in settling and delivering financial entitlements to approximately 12,536 workers with a total value exceeding Dhs309 million.

This annual harvest is a clear and evident reflection of appreciation for the efforts of the staff working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as the court welcomes International Workers’ Day, which falls on May 1st every year, with achievements that prove that protecting rights is the highest form of celebrating development partners.
This performance is based on an advanced judicial and technological system that allows for the immediate resolution of disputes, ensuring the protection of both parties to the contractual relationship – workers and employers – through the precise and transparent enforcement of the law that guarantees the worker his rights and the employer the stability of his establishment, which directly reflects on enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global economic hub committed to providing a balanced and sustainable work environment.
In parallel with its judicial role, Abu Dhabi Labour Court attaches paramount importance to the preventive aspect through the Labour Awareness Office, which has succeeded in reaching thousands of workers in their various languages with the aim of establishing a legal culture that makes all parties aware of their responsibilities and duties.
The office aims at reducing labour disputes and achieving the sustainability and stability of the contractual relationship with a view to stimulating the continuity of business and the flow of investments based on an integrated system that establishes effective justice as a guarantee for the stability of the labour market.
