A toddler stole the show by throwing himself on the floor as Donald Trump spoke during a White House event on Thursday (23 April).
Two-year-old Travis Smith, who was born deaf, decided he’d had enough of playing on the Oval Office carpet as the US president hosted a healthcare affordability event.
The toddler and his mother, Sierra Smith, were invited to the White House to show the effects of an experimental gene therapy developed by Regeneron that Travis received at 18 months as part of a clinical trial after being diagnosed with an OTOF genetic mutation, a rare cause of congenital deafness.
