Many areas in UAE to experience rain in coming days, says weather body

Light rain is expected on some coastal areas and islands on Monday, for 4 days, with southeasterly winds occasionally active, stirring up dust in the west, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, and a drop in temperatures on the coasts, especially in the west, due to the country being affected by weak surface pressure systems, accompanied by an extension of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM predicted Monday’s weather to be clear to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy over the coasts and islands at night with a chance of light rain on Tuesday morning. Winds, the NCM stated, will be southeasterly, turning to northwesterly and northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active, stirring up dust in the west, with speeds from 15 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h and the waves will be light to moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy and dusty at times, with a chance of light rain on some coastal areas and islands, and a drop in temperatures on the coasts, especially in the west, the NCM reported.

Winds will be southeasterly, turning to northwesterly and northeasterly, light to moderate in speed and occasionally active, stirring up dust over land, with speeds from 15 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h and the waves will be light to moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman, according to the NCM.

Wednesday’s weather, the NCM stated, will be partly cloudy to cloudy and dusty at times, with a chance of rain on the islands and some coastal and eastern areas, and a further drop in temperatures.
