Madhu Shekher Bhandari, entrepreneur and health advocate, today announced the launch of SWAFE (S-W-A-F-E), a health-focused platform inspired by his personal journey from severe illness to long-term recovery.
In 2003, at the age of 47, Madhu Shekher Bhandari faced a major health crisis. He was diagnosed with dangerously high blood pressure (185/110), advanced diabetes with HbA1c levels reaching 11.8, heart valve complications, chronic insomnia, and later, depression and schizophrenia.
“I had no energy, no clarity, and no understanding of what was happening to me,” he recalls.
Rather than accept decline, Madhu Shekher Bhandari began years of disciplined self-study and lifestyle transformation. He explored nutrition, recovery systems, and mental resilience, gradually rebuilding his health step by step. Today, at 72, he reports feeling stronger and more energetic than in his younger years.
This experience led to the creation of SWAFE—a platform designed to provide structured guidance, tools, and products aimed at supporting overall wellbeing and preventive health. The initiative focuses on empowering individuals to take greater responsibility for their health through consistent habits and informed choices.
Madhu Shekher Bhandari emphasizes that SWAFE does not promote quick fixes or guaranteed medical outcomes, but instead encourages long-term lifestyle change. “I understand how I damaged my health, and how I worked to recover. My goal is to share that learning responsibly, so others can act earlier,” he says.
With global health challenges increasing, SWAFE aims to contribute to a broader shift toward awareness, prevention, and sustainable wellbeing.
