I have been living in Sharjah for almost 19 years. This week I completed 19 years and I am happy to be here. This country taught me to be tolerant, responsible and caring. UAE’s culture is rooted in humility and hospitality. During challenging times, whether it was Covid-19 pandemic or flood like situation due to rain, the UAE always comes to our rescue. The way UAE manages situation is incredible. I remember during Covid-19 pandemic, the UAE government was quick to establish testing centre all across the emirates and then vaccination centre started operating in no time. Seeing your country so proactive, you will feel relieved. It is such a relief to be in the UAE, and I can’t explain in words. Even during rain, Sharjah Government started actively helping residents. I remember in 2024, I received lots of essential items. They delivered at my doorstep. This is why I feel UAE has taught me to be caring for others because they care.
