His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the UAE, blessed with wise leadership and vigilant armed forces, remains a source of reassurance and stability for all who live on its land. He stressed that people should not be consumed by fear or distracted by rumours, but instead find peace through faith, remembrance of God, and commitment to good deeds. Citing a Quranic verse, he underlined that true reassurance comes from spiritual grounding, expressing confidence that the country will continue to overcome challenges with God’s grace.
Speaking during a phone call on the programme Direct Line on Sharjah Radio and TV, he also addressed public queries about the construction of lakes in certain areas. He explained that such projects depend on geological suitability, noting that lakes cannot be created in saline lands.
Referring to the Al Rakad Al Ibil area, he said surrounding mountains naturally retain water, ensuring stability and preventing leakage, as the land composition is cohesive rather than sandy.
