
24 horses have qualified for the final of different categories on the second day of the 23rd edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship 2026 held at the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of 155 horses from 12 countries.
The total number of horses that have qualified from Friday and Saturday’s competitions has risen to 42 across various categories, competing for prizes totaling $4 million.
The second day saw the preliminary rounds for the colts category, featuring 92 horses across eight competitions, some of which were divided into two sections (A and B), bringing the total number of qualifiers to 10.
In the Yearling Colts – Section A (Class 7A),
Al Jumail Stud’s Al Fahad Mas, owned by Faisal Al Kubaisi, claimed first place with 92.70 points. S.S. Misk, owned by Sultan Mohamed Khalifa Hamad Alyahyaee, followed closely in second with 91.60 points, while Aj Aarem, owned by Abdulla Rashed Khusaif Binkhusaif Alnuaim, secured third place with 91 points.
In the Yearling Colts – Section B (Class 7B),
Federico Jose Morales Jordan’s Fam Vortex topped the class with 92 points. Mk Ameer finished second with 90.60 points, and Ajman Stud’s Saif Al Bahya completed the podium with 90.50 points.
In the Colts 2 Years Old (Class 8), D Baorkan from Dubai Arabian Horses Stud took first place, followed by Azazam Al Amal, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Saud Sultan Saqr Al Qasimi, in second. Ajman Stud’s Aj Rabdan finished third.
In the Colts 3 Years Old (Class 9), D Shakhar of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud claimed the top spot, with Aj Sayer of Ajman Stud in second and SQ Sahary of Al Saqran Arabian Horse Stud in third.
In the Stallions 4+ Years Old – Section A (Class 10A), EKS Sirajj, owned by Nayla Hayek, earned first place, followed by Fakhr Al Bateen in second, and Aned Al Hawajer in third.
In the Stallions 4+ Years Old – Section B (Class 10B), Sheikh Abdulla Bin Majid Al Qassemi’s E.S. Harir claimed first place, with Nayla Hayek’s Hl El Ganador in second, and D Shaddad from Dubai Arabian Horse Stud completing the podium.
Qusay Obeidallah, General Manager of the Championship, emphasized that the event reinforces its global standing by attracting elite horses, noting the participation of three world champions, two of whom have won the title twice, in addition to more than 24 horses that have won medals in international competitions.
He explained that the judges were selected through a draw from 20 nominees to choose 9 judges, without any intervention from the countries, enhancing the fairness of scoring and the quality of the competitions.
Sulaiman Al Hatali, Director of Technical Affairs at the Royal Cavalry of Oman, said that the championship represents a prominent competitive platform that brings together elite horses, praising the organization and the positive atmosphere reflecting the passion of owners and breeders.
Mohammed Al Towahedi, Director of Al Bustan Stud, added that the Dubai Championship represents the culmination of the season for championships in the Gulf and Europe, making it a venue that gathers the best horses. He noted that his stud is participating with three horses and that the championship continues to develop each year in terms of organization and the quality of participation.
